In North America, we focus on supporting investments in research, development, and the creation of innovative tools designed to address some of the world’s most challenging problems. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to drive impactful solutions in global health, education, and economic mobility, improving the lives of underserved communities both domestically and internationally.
We ensure that appropriate funding is brought to scale in the U.S. and Canada to support global health and development needs. These investments help advance our strategies and projects addressing critical global challenges, including HIV, polio, malaria, nutrition, and pneumonia, working towards sustainable solutions and improving health outcomes worldwide.
In addition to supporting our global initiatives, we collaborate with local leaders in the U.S. who have valuable knowledge and experience, and share our belief in improving the country’s educational and economic systems. The foundation is actively involved in programmatic activities in the U.S., focusing on education, economic mobility, opportunity, and providing wraparound services, particularly in our home state of Washington.
