At a glance

  • High-income countries in East Asia are recognized as some of the most innovative and generous in the world. They play a vital role as partners for our foundation in addressing the barriers that prevent the poorest populations from living healthy and productive lives.
  • Foreign aid from East Asia, whether directed to neighboring countries in the Asia-Pacific region or to global initiatives like Gavi, CEPI, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, and the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, is making a significant impact in saving lives worldwide. We collaborate closely with donor agencies and organizations to align our efforts and elevate the visibility of global health and development initiatives.
  • We collaborate with private-sector innovators to develop new tools, such as vaccines and treatments, aimed at addressing diseases that impact the world's poorest populations. By leveraging the advanced technology and manufacturing capabilities of East Asian nations, we can accelerate progress toward eliminating infectious diseases and improving lives globally.
